That’s me, Chris, the owner and photographer of Robert Wood Photography. Robert is my dad. He started the studio in 1965, and he taught me everything I know. He retired several years ago, but he did such a great job for over 40 years that I kept the name. Now he’s busy with his new project – A beautiful reception center in Layton called “The Victorian.” It’s also where I’m located. I’m spoiled by over 2 acres of landscaped grounds with bridges, ponds, a waterfall, 2 barns and even a 1945 Farmall tractor that every kid loves to play on.

I’ve loved photography since I almost failed it in high school. Yes, I did say failed. I had a hard time focusing on the assignments and too much fun doing my own thing. I still love the smell of darkroom chemicals. I love digital, but I miss the magic of watching my image appear in the darkroom.
I am married to the beautiful Natalie Wood. Not the star of West Side Story who drowned – but the other one. I have 5 incredible kids and one dog that hates everyone in the family but me. We also have a cat named Eve. She’s a stray that I mistakenly fed on New Years Eve and she never left.
